The signs and symptoms linked with CMPA are incredibly diverse, which can make diagnosis a real challenge. What’s more, every case of CMPA is unique, so it helps to be aware of all the different symptoms you might want to look out for.
Signs of CMPA relate to the number and type of symptoms experienced by your baby.
The majority of infants and children with CMPA have 2 or more symptoms in 2 or more organs or systems e.g., digestive and respiratory or skin and digestive.
DIGESTIVE
Up to 60% of infants with CMPA have digestive symptoms
RESPIRATORY
Up to 30% of infants with CMPA have respiratory symptoms
ANAPHYLAXIS
Anaphylactic shock is a severe, immediate, allergic reaction, which can affect many parts of the body
SKIN
Up to 70% of infants with CMPA can have skin-related symptoms
